FOR YOUR PLANNING PURPOSES:
Due to lack of participation, the breakfast program at Genesee Schools is being discontinued.  School breakfast is no longer being served.  Students may still purchase juice and yogurt on an ala carte basis.

Welcome Back!  We hope you all had a wonderful, fun and restful Winter Break . . . and extended winter break with the snow day.  We hope to remain in session now, but should there be an emergency closure, that closure is posted to the school district website homepage, and is reported to a number of radio and television stations.   

JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL NEWS:
Good Luck to the Boys Basketball teams who will meet Grangeville on the court here at home this evening beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Good Luck Teams!

The Girls Basketball Team will have Team Dinner, tomorrow evening, Wednesday.  Please meet at Points of View downtown right after practice.  See you there!

FINANCIAL AID NIGHT:  The January Newsletter was printed with an error about the date for Financial Aid Night.  *If you read the announcement carefully, you will note that January 23rd, 2009 is NOT a Wednesday.  This information was printed in error.  Financial Aid night is still scheduled for this Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Multi Purpose Room of the school.  ***Sorry for the miscommunication!

There will be a financial aid workshop this Wednesday night, January 7th, from 7:00-8:00pm in the multi-purpose room. The information presented will be relevant for any college or training institution which offers federal financial aid. All seniors planning to apply for financial aid to attend college or other post-secondary institution should attend with at least one parent. Contact Mr. Scripter if you have questions about this workshop.

The following BPA Members need to turn in their UI Release Forms to Mr. Crowley by tomorrow 1/7 to attend this year’s regional conference on January 23: Alyssa Lichti, Ashleigh Masters, Brandan Nelson, Brooke Dahmen, Chyanne Carcich, Cole Wilson, Geoffrey Leediker, Jamie Hovey-Smith, Jesse Meyer-Gray, Jessica Jenkins, Josh Bryant, Kaytee Lindquist, Ken Wommack, Kendell Kelnhofer, Morgan Daniels, Philip Pitts, Sam D-N, Sam Hoffman, Steven Cox, Wyatt Stout and Roy Wallace. These forms were due on December 19 and the UI requires them for participation at their events.

Wednesday:  Chicken burger, nachos, winter mix vegetables, strawberry fruit bar and chocolate milk.  (Options for secondary students:  hamburger, fishwich or chef salad.)
