The Genesee Jt. School District is excited to announce that we have qualified for free breakfast and lunch for all enrolled students beginning November 1, 2020.  This means all enrolled students attending Genesee School District will be offered beginning Mon., Nov. 2, 2020, breakfast and lunch at NO COST through the end of the school year.

    Please Note:

    1. Extra milk, juice and extra entree' can still be purchased separately.
    2. Any funds left in the meal account at the end of the year, will be carried over to the next school year. Graduating seniors may request a refund at the end of the year.
    3. All outstanding negative balances are still requied to be paid since this program does not go into effect until Nov. 1st.

    Account Balances

    The Genesee School District Cafeteria is utilizing Lumen WeBSIS as our cafeteria account management software. Account balance information is available by logging into the portal at: websis.sd282.org.

    When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. For inquiries, please call Mrs. Moore at (208) 285-1161.

    School Lunch Program:

    Genesee School District uses a computerized lunch accounting system. This computerized system tracks students’ lunch accounts without the need for meal cards. Charging is not allowed. Bring cash or check to the multi-purpose room in the morning. ALL FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS WILL BE HANDLED BY THE KITCHEN. Students may pay for as many meals as desired or a sum may be deposited into their account. Reminders will be emailed to the parents when the account goes below $5.
    The District encourages the use of nutrient dense foods for all school functions and activities. Nutrient dense foods are those foods that provide students with calories rich in the nutrient content needed to be healthy. At any school function healthy food choice options should be available. (See Policy 470.17 for more information.)

    Free and Reduced

    The Genesee School District is a participating member of the National School Lunch Program. The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day. The program was established under the National School Lunch Act, signed by President Harry Truman in 1946.

    To receive free or reduced price meals for your child, you must complete an application and return it to the school.
