I have been teaching in the Genesee School District since 1999.  I was initially hired as the school’s reading specialist and for 11 years I worked in our Title I program providing reading instruction and interventions to students who struggled with the reading process.  In 2010 I began teaching kindergarten and have had the time of my life – I love teaching this age group! I have a Master’s Degree in elementary education with a reading emphasis and a passion for early literacy.  My husband Jason and I have two college-age daughters, and we’ve lived in Genesee for almost 20 years. (Jason teaches social studies in the high school and helps coach high school girls’ basketball.)
