My name is Cassandra Heath.  I grew up in the Inland Northwest and have spent all of my life in this area. As a young person, I enjoyed playing sports and participating in outdoor activities. I graduated from Moscow High School, and then went on to get a bachelors degree in elementary education from Lewis Clark State College.  I have been teaching at Genesee Elementary for six years. five of those six years have been spent teaching third, fourth, and fifth grade English language arts.  After teaching ELA for three years, I began pursuing a graduate degree in adolescent literacy from Concordia University, where I graduated with a masters of education.  Prior to teaching at Genesee, I spent five years teaching preschool at Washington State University.  

When I am not teaching, I spend my free time with my husband, two sons, and two dogs.  We love to hunt, fish, and spend time riding ATVs.  In the summer, we enjoy long days on the river swimming and paddle boarding.  I love living in this area because of all the different outdoor activities there are to enjoy.

Genesee is an incredible school and community, and I feel fortunate that my family and I are part of it!
