Hi there, my name is Samantha Moser. As a lifelong resident of Genesee and a proud graduate of Genesee Joint School District, I am deeply invested in the growth and success of our community and its students. Having experienced firsthand the nurturing environment and close-knit relationships that define our schools, I am excited about the opportunity to serve as the Community School Coordinator. My strong ties to this town, combined with my passion for education and community engagement, drive me to create an even more connected and supportive educational experience for our students, families, and local partners.

We are excited to announce that from the beginning of the 23/24 school year, Genesee School became a Community School.

What is a Community School?

A community school model follows 4 key pillars. While each community school is unique, all include the four pillars in their planning and programming process. These pillars include integrated student supports, expanded and enriched learning time and opportunities, family and community engagement and collaborative leadership unique to our community.

What does a Community School look like in Genesee?

Early learning opportunities like offering Head Start.
Dual Enrollment Opportunities in Early Childhood Education.
Partnering with community members to offer diverse learning opportunities, like organizing assemblies on nutrition, health and safety from an array of public speakers.
Offering students basic hygiene products, non-perishable food, school and clothing supplies through our Community Closet.
Doors opening for more grant opportunities.
