Hello and welcome to Genesee Athletics!

This page is intended to provide information for team schedules, as well as access to forms necessary to participate in Genesee school sports.

Student participation is highly encouraged at Genesee Jr-Sr High School. Students that are involved in sports and activities learn time management skills, get to be part of a team and work on team-building skills, and learn how to find their role and how they can contribute to the betterment of the team. Students must pass all of their classes to be eligible to participate in sports and activities. If students are involved, they have passed their classes and will be on track to graduate.

Students in the 7th, 9th & 11th grades must have a current physical on file to participate in school sports. These physicals are good for 2 years, so 8th, 10th and 12th students will not need a new physical to participate, unless they didn't participate in sports the previous year, OR they are new to our district. New students must either provide us a physical form or get a physical before they are allowed to participate in school sports. Students & Parents will also need to complete the Interim questionnaire form and have it on file in the office for athletic participation.

You can find a daily practice schedule and other information on the other sports website http://www.geneseebulldogs.com.  This site comes with our schedule star subscription and has daily practice schedules when school is not in session, print off schedules by sport, and plenty of other items to look into (cool spirit wear) that may peak your interest. You can even sign up for notifications on game changes. Go check it out!

We are so grateful to Dairy West! and the local dairy farm families of Idaho for sponsoring the "unbottled" program. Dairy West! generously donated a full pallet of unbottled chocolate milk for our student athletes for the 21-22 school year. The students can have chocolate milk any time after a practice, a game or even on the bus on the way to a meet. We have had 3 teams participate in the sports nutrition talks, and coaches and players found the presentation interactive and informative. The students have taken it upon themselves to keep milk stocked in the cooler, and they're really great about sharing it with their teammates. We are very grateful for this grant, and have been approved for the 22-23 school year!  THANK YOU DAIRY WEST!

A HUGE Thank You to Harlan Douglass and Douglass Properties for their continued generosity to the Genesee SB program. Douglass Properties has donated $20,000 over the last few years to the Genesee Athletic and SB program! We are VERY GRATEFUL for your support!

The new baseball/football scoreboard is up and running and we have used the pivoting system with the most recent weather already. A huge thank you to Jay Scharnhorst, Harlan Zenner, Alan Krick, Jay Meyer, Kole Scharnhorst, Nick Niehenke, Kade Best, Bill Krick, Art Lindquist, Darrell Stout and anyone else we may have missed for the creation and installation of the scoreboard framing system. Western States supplied all tooling and consumables for welding and facilities, and Todd Dunford and Custom Coat Powder Coating did all of the powder coating of the center post structure. THANK YOU again to these community members and businesses!

Incoming 7th, 9th and 11th grade students will need sports physicals to play sports. There are usually free sports physicals offered by the local hospitals and health agencies, please check with them as this can help save parents some money. If you will be an 8th, 10th or 12th grade student and want to play sports, if you played last year we have your physical on file. If you did NOT play last year you will need to get a current physical to participate.

Updated sports schedules are posted below

If you have friends and family that want to watch the game and can't attend in person, they can always watch home games live on the NFHS Network and away games too (if schools have this at their facility). https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/schools/genesee-high-school-genesee-id

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email Mr. Caldwell   kcaldwell@sd282.org
