    District Wide News:

    4-day week, no school Friday May 14

    No school Friday May 21

    No School Monday May 31st- Memorial Day

    Last day of school, Thursday June 3rd

    Graduation- Saturday May 29th

    Library Books- All books need to be returned by Friday, May 21st. Any damaged or books not returned, parents/students will be billed the cost of the book. Please see Mrs. Waisanen if you have any questions.

    Genesee Schools are in stage yellow, students and staff are required to wear masks. Please send your students with their own masks, supplies in the office are limited.

    Please note that if anyone is testing for COVID due to illness in your family, all siblings must be kept at home until the test results come back.  If the results are negative all students may return to school, as long as they are symptom free and have been fever free for over 24 hours.  If the test comes back positive, please contact the school for further assistance. 

    **We are asking for limited visitors to the school during COVID. If you do need to come in the building, please be prepared to wear a mask. **

    Elementary News:

    After School Program: THE LAST DAY OF ASP FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR WILL BE MAY 20TH.

    Grades 3-6 ASP:

    Monday- Mrs. Wommack’s Classroom

    Tuesday- Mr. Sams’s Classroom

    Wednesday- Mrs. Heath’s Classroom

    Thursday- Mrs. Johnson’s Classroom

    The After School Study Hall is a place where elementary students can complete homework in a quiet setting where a teacher is available to help. Families are responsible for providing transportation home if needed.

    JR High and High School News:

    Please remember to wear your mask in the building.

    Genesee Safe & Sober - Class of 2021- Buy a raffle ticket to win a Traeger! Buy tickets for $20 each on the website  https://genesee-safe-sober.square.site . The Parents of the Genesee High School Class of 2021 are raising funds for the annual year end graduation celebration. Due to COVID-19, and following the orders and restrictions issued by the State of Idaho, we have been unable to do a lot of the traditional fundraising we typically do for this event. Please help by buying a raffle ticket to win a Traeger and/or make a donation so we can send these incredible young adults off to start the next chapter of their lives.

    After School Program: Available to all secondary students. Students will communicate with the teachers they need to meet with to set up times after school.

    Activity Period Meeting Times:

    Wednesday (1:05-1:20)- Open

    Thursday (2:05-2:20)- Open

    Friday (3:05-3:15)- Open

    Sports for the week of 5/10-5/15-

    Tuesday, May 11: District Baseball play-in vs Troy at Church field in Lewiston. Game starts at 6:30. Bus leaves at 4:45.

    District Softball play-in at Home vs Culdesac. Game starts at 5:00.

    Thursday, May 13: 1A District Baseball Tournament at Orofino. Genesee vs Kendrick at 6:00. 

    1A District Softball Tournament at Genesee. Games at 3:00 and 5:00.

    Friday, May 14:

    1A District Baseball Tournament at Orofino. TBD.

    Track Regionals at Lapwai. Meet starts at 1:00 bus leaves at 11:00.

    Saturday, May 15:

    Track Regionals at Lapwai. Meet starts at 10:00 bus leaves at 8:15.

    There will be no program offered for Kindergarten this year. 1st and 2nd grade is by invitation only.

    Thursday, May 6: Lewiston Meet of Champions Track Meet at Lewiston HS. Meet starts at 1:00. Athletes dismissed at 11:20, bus leaves at 11:30.
