    District Wide News:

    4-day week, no school Friday January 22

    5-day week next week

    If you have not been able to access your parent portal, please e-mail or call Carly in the High School Office. This is a great tool to stay caught up with your student’s grades, lunch account balance and more.

    Genesee Schools are in stage yellow, students and staff are required to wear masks. Please send your students with their own masks, supplies in the office are limited.

    Please note that if anyone is testing for COVID due to illness in your family, all siblings must be kept at home until the test results come back.  If the results are negative all students may return to school, as long as they are symptom free and have been fever free for over 24 hours.  If the test comes back positive, please contact the school for further assistance. 

    **We are asking for limited visitors to the school during COVID. Please plan to e-mail or call to arrange meeting times if you do need to come in the building, please be prepared to wear a mask. **

    Elementary News:

    If you drop your students off at school in the morning we are allowing you to drive through the bus drop off zone to drop off your students. If you would please enter from Tamarack and drive through from East to West. Do not pass busses in the drop off zone. Please do not enter from the High School side and remind your students to be mindful of other traffic in the drop off zone.

    Please remember to send your students with proper winter clothes for recess! Hats, gloves, boots and snow pants are all encouraged for cold and snowy days.

    After School Program:

    There will be no program offered for Kindergarten this year. 1st and 2nd grade is by invitation only.

    Grades 3-6 ASP:

    Monday- Mrs. Wommack’s Classroom

    Tuesday- Mr. Sams’s Classroom

    Wednesday- Mrs. Heath’s Classroom

    Thursday- Mrs. Johnson’s Classroom

    The After School Study Hall is a place where elementary students can complete homework in a quiet setting where a teacher is available to help. Families are responsible for providing transportation home if needed.

    JR High and High School News:

    Please remember to wear your masks in the building.

    PSAT Reminder:

    Juniors: If you wish to take the PSAT coming up on Tuesday, January 26th, you must first register by paying the $17 test fee at the high school office.  Deadline to register is 3:30pm on Thursday, January 21st.  Utilize the free practice materials at khanacademy.org or stop by Mr. Scripter's office to pick up a PSAT study guide and practice test.

    Sophomores: You do not need to register since your testing fee is paid for by the State Department of Education.  If a sophomore and their parents do not wish to have the student participate in the PSAT a parent can notify Mr. Scripter by email at  jscripter@sd282.org  

    Test Date: Tuesday January 26th 

    Time: 8:00am - approx. 12:00

    Location: To be determined

    After School Program: Available to all secondary students. Students will communicate with the teachers they need to meet with to set up times after school.

    Activity Period Meeting Times:

    Monday (9:40-9:55)- Open

    Wednesday (1:05-1:20)- Open

    Thursday (2:05-2:20)- Open

    Friday (3:05-3:15)- Open

    Sports for the week of 1/18-1/23-

    Per the Governor’s orders 2 guests per player are allowed to attend games. Admission will be $5.00; sports passes will be honored. Special passes have been preassigned to players to give to their guests, you must have a pass to enter, no exceptions. Masks are required.

    Monday’s Boys Basketball vs Troy has been rescheduled.

    Thursday January 21: Girls Basketball at Troy. VARSITY ONLY at 6:00. Bus leaves at 4:30.

    Friday January 22:  Boys Basketball at Home vs Prairie. JV plays at 6:00, Varsity plays at 7:30.

    Saturday January 23: Girls Basketball at Prairie. JV plays at 1:00, Varsity plays at 2:30. Bus leaves at 10:30.

    Friday January 15: Boys and Girls Basketball at the new Lewiston High School. JV ONLY, Girls play at 6:00 and Boys plays at 7:30. Bus leaves at 4:30.

    Saturday January 16: Boys and Girls Basketball at Home vs CV. VARSITY ONLY, Girls play at 1:00 and Boys plays at 2:30.
