Mrs. Becky Pickard

My career at Genesee School District began in 1996. I was initially hired as a part-time ATC (Athletic Trainer Certified) as I was also working for another school district. In 2000 I began my teaching career here, teaching classes in health and physical education. I love this community and this school!!!

My teaching schedule includes a variety of courses that may include K-12 Physical Education, K-6 Health Education, Sports Medicine, MS Advisory, and any other courses assigned to me as needed. I have recently completed coursework for my Occupational Specialist Endorsement in Rehabilitation Services (CTE) to expand medical education in our school!

I have been married for more than 30 years! My husband Chad and I live here in Genesee and have raised 3 children here (Justin, Dallan, and Mattie). We have two labs, a cat, and chickens. In my free time I enjoy reading, watercolor painting, gardening, camping, hiking, paddle boarding and Kayaking. Being outside in the sunshine makes me happy!

Besides teaching, I work as our school's Certified Athletic Trainer. I attend most home sporting events to make sure our student athletes are safe, healthy, and cared for. When student athletes are injured, I help diagnose, treat, refer, and rehabilitate their injuries. I am Licensed by the Idaho State Board of Medicine Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses  to practice Athletic Training as well as Certified Nationally. I attended the University of Idaho for my training. Go Vandals!!!

Outside of school, I Volunteer as an EMT-I and Firefighter for Genesee. This is my passion. I absolutely love helping others!
